Coach Vaughn is a native of Denver, Colorado. In High School, Coach Vaughn attended Montbello High School located in Denver, Colorado and excelled in Football and Track. Montbello athletics have produced a number of local, regional and statewide championship athletic teams and athletes known for excelling in football, basketball and track and field. Coming out of HS Coach Vaughn was a highly sought-after Colorado recruit and a top prospect in the state which garnered him a plethora of college scholarships ultimately choosing University of Hawaii as his college of choice.
Coach Vaughn graduated from the University of Hawaii, where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Hawaii. During his time at the University of Hawaii, Coach Vaughn was a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) where he lettered and was named an All-WAC Academic scholar.
Coach Vaughn has 8 years of experience as a Youth Football Coach/ sports performance at the youth level. He has coached his football teams to 5 Championship appearances, including a 3-peat championship run and two National Tournament championships. Strength and Conditioning has always been a part of Coach Vaughn’s life, having been a Division-1 athlete and he has continued his training since graduating from college. In 2016 Coach Vaughn was named to the Denver Public Schools All-Century Team, due to his outstanding HS athletic accomplishments.
